Mono Cut-Sheet Laser Printers
Features:
Highlights
- High throughput--24 pages per minute printing 600 dots per
inch resolution using TrueRes image enhancement technology
- "Total connectivity"-direct attachment to workstations,
Local Area Networks (LANs), and traditional IBM hosts
- Network enabled with compatible PCL5e data stream support
standard. PostScript level 2 by Adobe (standard on 24PS model), IBM
AFP/IPDS, and SNA (SCS) data stream support are optional
- Extremely fast, high volume printing with large input media
capacities and optional high-capacity output finisher
IBM's
top of the line workgroup printer offers incredibly fast 24 pages per
minute throughput for high-volume document environments. The IBM
Network Printer 24 provides up to 3100 sheets of input capacity. It
supports letter/A4, legal, and ledger/A3 sized media plus duplex and
finishing options. Simultaneous network and host connections, combined
with auto-port and data stream sensing make this the printer of choice
for large workgroups.
Shared Environments
Today's
environments require support of multiple printer data streams. The
Network Printer 24 supports PCL**5e and, optionally, PostScript** Level
2, and IBM's traditional AFP/IPDS as well as SCS. The Network Printer
24PS is PostScript ready. This model comes standard with Adobe
PostScript and 12 MB of memory. Native support of all these data
streams allows for consolidation of multiple
platform/application-specific printers to one Network Printer 24.
The
bi-directional parallel interface comes standard, and two of the four
optional attachment cards can be simultaneously installed. The Network
Printer 24 automatically switches among printer data streams,
interfaces, and networks.
With the installation of IBM's
Network Printer Manager (NPM) utility, system administrators can easily
install, configure, monitor, and manage the Network Printer 24 from
remote locations. The NPM utility has been developed using the industry
standard SNMP Printer MIB ensuring future migration support and
compatibility. Connectivity requirements are changing as well. The
Network Printer 24 supports bi-directional parallel,Ethernet,
Token-Ring, Coaxial, and Twinaxial interfaces.
Performance
IBM's
high-speed workgroup printer offers fast throughput at 24 pages per
minute for large workgroups. At the heart of the Network Printer 24 is
an exceptionally powerful controller utilizing a 66 MHz processor - the
fastest in its class.
Large Workgroup Paper Handling
Large
workgroups sharing a network printer require heavy-duty, high- volume
printing with maximum forms handling flexibility. The Network Printer
24 is clearly the network printer of choice to meet these requirements.
The Network Printer 24 supports paper sizes from B5 all the way up
to ledger/A3. In addition to the broad range of paper sizes, output
support can be expanded to 2500 sheets with the addition of the
high-capacity finishing option. With the combination of the large input
and output capacities, printing solutions exist for large print volumes
and unattended environments.
Besides the large-capacity
stacking capability provided with the finisher, two additional features
are provided: offset jogging and stapling. These additional
capabilities provide productivity advantages and make sending
multi-copy jobs to the printer easier than ever. For example, the
existing multi-step process of print, copy, and finish can be
transformed into an efficient print and finish one step operation.
Summary
