The new APOLLO from Tharo Systems is the first printer that lets you download a label format, or even graphics and a data base, to an optionally installed, industry-standard PCMCIA card, disconnect the printer from the PC and take it to a new location. Using the printer's front panel or a standard computer keyboard, you can input data, specify the number of labels to print, and merge database information into your format...all without the PC attached!

While most label printers offer 1 resident scalable font or none at all, the APOLLO features 3 printer-resident scalable typefaces! All Western and Eastern European Latin characters are also resident in the APOLLO. Greek and Cyrillic are not resident, but can be printed as TrueType fonts.

For systems integration APOLLO is one of the easiest to interface printers in the world. Serial up to 57,600 baud, Centronics parallel, and RS-485 networking interfaces are all built-in to the APOLLO. These interfaces, along with the fact the APOLLO programming language requires no control characters, allows interfacing with virtually any system including minis, mainframes and UNIX.

PRINT ON ALL TYPES OF LABEL MEDIA

Tharo Service Contracts are available for 12 month periods. They can be purchased when printers are originally purchased or at anytime during the standard factory warranty. The extended warranty period will begin when the factory warranty expires. Service contracts may also be purchased for units no longer under factory warranty; however, inspection of the unit at Tharo Systems, Inc. may be required. The original warranty period is for 1 year (365 days) from date of shipment by Tharo Systems. The Hot Spare contract includes the replacement of one (1) printhead per contract year. All prices are subject to change and are reflective of the cost of replacement parts. Inspection is required prior to the issue of a Service Contract if the warranty has expired.
Service Contracts cover all labor, material and surface transportation charges to return the product to customers within the 48 contiguous United States and District of Columbia. (Printhead warranty of 1 year (365 days) on original printhead applies to printers shipped after February 1, 1998. Otherwise, regular warranty of 6 months or 1,000,000 linear inches of use applies.) All shipping costs, custom clearances and other related charges outside this area are not covered by the Service Contract. Hot Spare Contract covers same day, overnight shipment of a replacement printer. (If notified no later than 11:30 AM EST.)
