The ET3000 thin client, with its high quality, robust functionality, and superior ease of use, is a powerful terminal that gives users the ability to access Windows, Internet, and legacy applications, at a lower total cost of ownership than PCs or other computing products.
The ET3000 client software, powered by Microsoft Windows CE .NET, has built-in support of Microsoft RDP and Citrix ICA protocol, multiple terminal emulations (such as IBM 5250, 3270 and 3151, DEC VT-420, Wyse WY-60, among others), and Internet Explorer (ET3000n). Users can access applications running on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and Citrix MetaFrame, as well as mainframe, midrange, UNIX and other legacy applications, and the Web. This provides broad application compatibility and system integration, improving user productivity.
Serial and parallel printer ports, 10/100 BaseT Fast Ethernet, USB and PS/2 ports, audio and an internal power supply are all standard ET3000 hardware contained in a small footprint package. This simplifies network and peripheral connection and unit deployment, with typical unit installation time less than five minutes.
The ET3000 is a highly secure, "locked down" sealed box. Applications and data reside on the server, not locally, providing protection from accidental corruption or loss, theft, or infection by viruses, minimizing downtime.
And like all CLI thin clients, the ET3000 works seamlessly with CLI's SNMP Administrator software. This powerful tool gives administrators complete centralized control of all CLI desktops, dramatically reducing support costs.
