Abstract

The Visioneer OneTouch 400 is a production-class desktop scanner for departments that push real paper volume — government, financial, healthcare and large-business back offices. It runs 70 pages per minute (140 images per minute) duplex at both 200 and 300 dpi, drops to 50 ppm / 100 ipm only for 300 dpi color, and carries an 11,000-page recommended daily duty cycle. A 120-sheet automatic document feeder with ultrasonic double-feed detection and dual CIS sensors keeps long batches moving without babysitting. The unit connects over USB 3.1 Gen 1 and collapses to 12.5 x 7.5 x 6.6 in at 10 lb.

An 11,000-page daily duty cycle and a 120-sheet feeder put the OneTouch 400 well past personal-scanner territory. Dual-motor reversing roller paper handling and ultrasonic double-feed detection mean mixed batches of invoices, forms and correspondence run through without misfeeds stopping the job.

Many scanners quote a headline speed that only holds at the lowest resolution. The OneTouch 400 holds 70 ppm / 140 ipm for black and white and grayscale at both 200 and 300 dpi; 300 dpi color runs at 50 ppm / 100 ipm. Archival-quality captures do not cost you the throughput.

The feeder accepts 7 to 110 lb. stock, plastic and embossed cards up to 0.05 in, and documents from 2 x 2 in up to 9.5 x 240 in, with a maximum scan area of 8.5 x 240 in.

Visioneer OneTouch scans to eight pre-configured, customizable destinations in one click. Visioneer Capture SE handles batch capture, data extraction and barcodes; Visioneer Organizer AI applies machine-learning classification to the output; ABBYY FineReader PDF provides full OCR and PDF editing.
