Abstract

The Xerox D35wn is the networked version of the D35 personal scanner: the same 45 ppm / 90 ipm duplex engine and 50-sheet automatic document feeder, with WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Gigabit Ethernet added alongside USB 3.1 Gen 1, plus a 1.8-inch full-colour LCD on the front panel. It holds full speed at both 200 and 300 dpi across black and white, grayscale and colour, carries an 8,000-page daily duty cycle, and measures 11.1 x 6 x 6.5 in at 5.5 lb — small enough for a reception desk or a shared workstation but rated well beyond personal-scanner duty.

Product Description

Adding Ethernet and WiFi to a compact desktop scanner means one unit can serve a small workgroup instead of being tied to whichever PC holds the USB cable. Thin Scanning through TWAIN Direct lets applications reach the scanner without a per-client driver install.

The D35wn runs 45 ppm / 90 ipm at 200 dpi and at 300 dpi, for black and white, grayscale and colour alike — so higher-quality captures do not slow the job down.

A 50-sheet feeder with ultrasonic double-feed detection handles plain paper, photos, and ID and embossed cards. Long-document mode takes originals up to 236 in, and Visioneer Acuity cleans up the image on the way through.

Visioneer OneTouch drives one-click presets; Visioneer Organizer AI applies automatic file categorisation; Capture SE covers batch scanning and barcode reading; ABBYY FineReader PDF produces searchable PDFs with full OCR.
