Abstract

The Xerox N60w Pro is a network scanner that does not need a PC. An 8-inch colour touchscreen drives embedded applications that send scans straight to email, a network folder, a cloud service such as Google Drive or OneDrive, or a USB flash drive, with the scanner running standalone on Gigabit Ethernet or WiFi 802.11 b/g/n. Throughput is 65 pages per minute / 130 images per minute duplex at both 200 and 300 dpi from a 100-sheet automatic document feeder, against a 10,000-page daily duty cycle. It can equally be used tethered over USB 3.1 Gen 1 when a workstation workflow is wanted.

Scanning Without a Workstation

The 8-inch touchscreen is the whole interface. Users pick a destination on the panel and the scanner delivers the file itself — no driver, no host PC, no software licence per seat. That suits shared areas, mailrooms and branch offices where a dedicated scanning workstation is not practical.

Network and Security

The N60w Pro speaks TCP/IP, SMTP, FTP, FTPS, SFTP, SMB, DHCP and DNS, with WEP 64/128, WPA/WPA2 and TKIP on the wireless side, so it drops into a managed network without exceptions being made for it.

Paper Handling

A reverse-roller, dual-motor path feeds 7 to 110 lb. stock, cards up to 0.051 in and originals from 2 x 2 in to 9.5 x 236 in, with ultrasonic double-feed detection and Visioneer Acuity image enhancement applied on the way through.

Software Included

Visioneer OneTouch, Acuity, Capture SE, DriverPLUS and Organizer AI ship with the scanner, together with ABBYY FineReader Standard for OCR and PDF work. Visioneer VAST Network technology exposes the scanner to applications over a secure web interface using TWAIN Direct.
